The Stanford Center for International Development

The Stanford Center for International Development (SCID) is a center within the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR), based at Stanford University in the United States of America. SCID focuses on international trade and development. Faculty at the Stanford Center for International Development (SCID) focuses their research on economic policies in developing and transition countries. They work to advice and influence the international economic system by working with policy makers. EDRI and SCID have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on research projects covering a wide range of topics, namely to initiate project called Stanford Economic Development Research Initiative (SEDRI). Following this, on April 13, 2016, the two institutes signed a research collaborative agreement to generate evidence that will help us understand the link between urbanization and individual welfare, firm-level economic outcomes and the quality of public service delivery.
